Wash. Congressional Delegation to Boeing: Build 777X Here

As time runs out for Washington state to make its case to Boeing that it should build its next 777 wide-body jet here, the state’s Congressional delegation is weighing in with a letter to the company’s top executives.

The lawmakers touted their support and advocacy for important issues to Boeing and their pro-aerospace voting record.

“We are the aerospace industry’s strongest allies and loudest advocates in Congress,” the letter said.

First agreement on Washington's Congressional map reached

Washington’s political redistricting commission has its first Congressional map that at least one Democrat and one Republican can agree on. The two have not released details yet.

Members of the Washington Redistricting Commission plan to release a map Wednesday that could demarcate the state's Congressional boundaries for the next 10 years.

State delegation wants space shuttle to land in Seattle

In a bipartisan push to bring the retired Space Shuttle to the Museum of Flight in Seattle, Washington's U.S. Senators Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell, along with the state's entire congressional delegation, have sent a a letter to Charles F. Bolden, the Administrator of NASA, urging him to select the museum as the home for the retired NASA Space Shuttle Orbiter.
