Win or lose against Saints, Seahawks season a triumph

The Seattle Seahawks host the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints Saturday in the NFC playoff game.  Kickoff is at 1:30 at Qwest Field.  Matt Hasselbeck will be the starting quarterback, getting the nod over Charlie Whitehurst, who led the Seahawks to victory over St. Louis for the NFC West title last weekend. 

Sports commentator Art Thiel shared his thoughts on the Saints-Seahawks matchup with KPLU’s Kirsten Kendrick.

King County Sheriff Sue Rahr's force is about to be reduced by dozens of deputies. The county council is voting on a budget plan today that will cut $60 million, and along with public safety and public health jobs.

King County To Cut 300 Jobs


The budget ax falls today in King County.  The coucil will vote on a plan that eliminates  about 300 jobs, including dozens from law enforcement and the prosector's office.
