Spending on the arts in Seattle grew despite recession, study shows

Non-profit arts groups generated $447.6  million for Seattle’s economy in 2010. That’s over $1 million more than before the economic downturn, according to a recent study by Americans for the Arts, a national advocacy group.

Seattle's Neptune Theatre to get renovation, become live performance venue

The historic Neptune, a 90-year old U District movie palace, will soon be a showcase for live performances. Seattle Theatre Group announced it will take over the Neptune's lease from Landmark Theatres in February. STG plans to do some upgrades, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal:
