The second annual Movie Marathon is an all-day film lovers event created to support the extraordinary programs of SIFF including the Seattle International Film Festival, SIFF Cinema, and FutureWave: Expanding Cinema through Education. The 12-hour marathon will showcase six exceptional films that made their mark at the Seattle International Film Festival over the last few decades. The Marathon will host two acclaimed filmmaking guests with local connections: SIFF co-founder and filmmaker Dan Ireland will be in attendance to present an exclusive viewing of the directors cut of his film, The Whole Wide World, as well as filmmaker Alan Rudolph who will be introducing his Seattle-based film, Trouble in Mind. Both films will be presented in their original 35mm format.

The day will begin at 9:00am with a breakfast at Seattle Center's Alki Room (the future home of the SIFF Film Center) and will feature special guest Dan Ireland. All Marathon participants are invited to attend this complimentary breakfast before the films begin at 10:00am at SIFF Cinema.

The SIFF 12-Hour Movie Marathon is sponsored by 88.5 KPLU.
