Old Reliables: Keepin' 'Em Coming Back for More
The hoopla over the New Big Thing restaurant is replaced by the excitement over the Next Big Thing. And the next. But some restaurants exist outside the cycle of fashion and fad. They're the places that keep us coming back for more.
Nancy cites places like Seattle's Wild Ginger, Cafe Campagne, Lark, and Mashiko as among her go-to Old Reliables. Two of my long time favorites in Tacoma where I live are Primo Grill, Chef Charlie McManus' Mediterranean-style eatery, and Vuelva a la Vida, a Mexican—real Mexican—restaurant on Tacoma's Pacific Avenue.
What restaurants keep you coming back? And why? Tell all below.
"Once the working classes were in chains. Now they're in chain restaurants."
