Having fun at farmers' markets

Well, Nancy has fun. Sometimes I get a little freaked when hemmed in by a farmers' market crowd. You know –  potato panic. Arugula anxiety. 

But my Food for Thought pard Nancy Leson loves s nothing better than immersing herself in the mob of happy food grazers at farmer's markets in the Seattle area.

Even crowd-shy me will usually brave the multitudes at least once or twice a month to see what looks good at Tacoma area farmers' markets. And I usually make the short drive down to Olympia several times over the course of the summer to Oly's farmers' market.

Of course nowadays these here newfangled farmer's markets got more than just plain ole produce. There's prepared foods from cuisines around the world, plant starts,  meats, cheeses, lawn furniture, all kinds of stuff.
