Gonzaga University has joined the official Catholic movement in support of environmental stewardship.

On Monday, Gonzaga University President Thayne McCulloh and the president of Gonzaga Preparatory high school both signed the St. Francis Pledge.

As early as next week, Washington residents will be able to register to vote on Facebook.

Wednesday night the Washington State Senate voted in support of same-sex marriages by a 28 to 21 vote. Gay and lesbian citizens around the state support the idea, but for some, wedding bells don’t sound so appealing.

SPOKANE, Wash. – Occupy Wall Street has officially endorsed "Move to Amend the Constitution" as a primary mission.

Spokane groups will mobilize tomorrow as part of a nationwide effort called Occupy the Courts. It’s a move to urge lawmakers to rethink the Citizens United decision, passed two years ago tomorrow. Concluding that “corporations are people," the Citizens United decision overruled precedents that blocked corporate spending on political campaigns. Now, corporations can support or oppose candidates and contribute freely.
