Membership & Support
KPLU is listener-supported, public radio
The majority of our operating budget comes directly from individual listeners, just like you. Your individual donations of any amount pay for everything from our programming costs, to the costs for maintaining our website and live streams, right down to the power bill.
KPLU stays on the air and online because of your direct support. Its a collective process that enables us to continue providing commercial-free, independent programming to the entire community. | |

Listener Testimonials
"KPLU means getting more than a snapshot of news. It means exploring an issue and learning the who, what, when, where, how and why..And being truly informed." Steve Hale
| "As a mother with an empty nest, I need someone to listen to me (like the kids ever did?) and KPLU listens to me all day long. I sing with it, talk back to it, occasionally yell, But I don't get anything back but music - And occasional news. I love you, KPLU!"
Val Dumond
| "KPLU is a major part of my life. It's on in the car and at home most of the time. I love it all- news, jazz, blues. As a musician, I look to KPLU as a resource and inspiration. Thanks!"

| Underwriting KPLU offers businesses and organizations the opportunity to support the quality programming public radio offers and, at the same time, inform listeners about their products or services.
On public radio, this is known as underwriting. When a business or organization becomes an underwriter, they make a donation in support of certain programming. In return, KPLU airs the underwriting announcements letting our listeners know who the contributor is. The announcements are 15 seconds in length.
Underwriting also helps your company or organization build a positive image in the community by partnering you with a distinguished, highly respected information medium.
