KPLU Election 2007

KPLU CalendarContact KPLUSearch

Ballots have been mailed out and election day, November 6th, is just around the corner. KPLU is covering many of the big issues our region is facing - from citizen initiatives, transportation proposals, and major races.

Our election stories are airing on KPLU's Morning Edition (5a-9a) and All Things Considered (3p-6:30p) but you can also stream them here. We hope our reports assist you in your understanding of the issues and candidates. The power of the vote is a strong one, especially when the voter is well informed. The late John Gardner, founder of Common Cause which champions campaign finance reform, said it best, I think, when he said, "The citizen can bring our political and governmental institutions back to life, make them responsive and accountable, and keep them honest. No one else can."

Thanks for listening. Erin Hennessey, KPLU News Director
