88.5 KPLU and Seattle Theatre Group (STG) present Words & Music Friday, March 30, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. at The Paramount Theatre. Featuring an evening of lively discussion and witty songs, Words & Music brings together the talents of Oscar and Grammy Award-winner Randy Newman and popular public radio personality Bob Edwards, for a memorable event to benefit STG and KPLU.
Setting the tone for the evening, Bob Edwards leads a discussion with Randy Newman about his life and 40-year music career. Along the way, Randy Newman will play a selection of songs from his vast repertoire. The result is a night that showcases the enduring work of a singer-songwriter who has become known as one of the most musically and lyrically ambitious ever to play in the fields of popular music.

The Paramount Theatre is located at 911 Pine Street in downtown Seattle. Ticket prices are $45 to $65 (not including applicable service charges).
